Some loves are like storms...
They might be gone for a while, but somehow, they always come back
Bruce and Samantha are probably the most frustrating people I’ve ever written. They love each other, they hurt each other, they run from each other, and then somehow they end up right back where they started — usually making an even bigger mess than before. And honestly? I wouldn’t write them any other way (LoL).
What fascinates me about them is that neither of them is really looking for a quiet love. Samantha built a beautiful, controlled life for herself with Julian, but Bruce is the one person who can still make her lose control. And Bruce, for all his confidence and provocation, seems to have absolutely no idea what to do with the fact that she is the one person he can’t simply walk away from.
They are not a healthy little romance. They are like a storm!
They are not easy and are not particularly good at staying away from each other either.
And I think that’s exactly why I’m having so much fun writing them.
Some people are peace. Some people are chaos.
And sometimes, unfortunately for everyone involved... you fall in love with the storm.
